I received the following from a fellow grieving dad and friend that I met through this project. I will be posting a separate section of the poem Just for Today to ponder every couple of days. The poem was written for bereaved parents by Vicki Tushingham. Feel free to share with others.
Just For Today For Bereaved Parents (Section 5)
Just for today I will honor my child’s memory by doing something with another child because I know that would make my own child proud.
I really like this one. I have found a lot of healing by spending time with and helping other children. I have no doubt that my children are proud of me not only for that, but for the fact that after years of being paralyzed by grief, I have found a way to live again.
